Welcome

Grace & Truth in Your Story

Grace & Truth in Your Story is built on the belief that every one of us has lived through experiences we need to recover from. Recovery is really another word for sanctification—both describe a process of being restored to our original design, as God intended. That design was created by a loving Creator and perfectly reflected in the life of Jesus.

This journey is meant to help you rediscover the character of Christ within you and the peace and fruit that naturally flow from walking in His likeness. The good news is that Jesus has already shown us how to navigate this path—most clearly in the Sermon on the Mount and throughout the Gospels, as the only man who never needed recovery. Remarkably, His way mirrors the principles found in the Twelve Steps.

Through this process, we’ll learn to release the burdens that weigh us down and keep us from being the women—wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, and disciple-makers—God created us to be. Together, we’ll identify and uproot the lies that have replaced truth, the hurts that have led us away from His will, and the unhealthy thoughts and habits that quietly shape our lives and relationships. As those are removed, space is made for the peace, kindness, patience, goodness, gentleness, and self-control that God longs for us to experience.

As we walk through our stories, we’ll gain insight into how our life experiences have shaped us—especially where they’ve impacted our intimacy with God and others. Most of us don’t look closely at our stories unless we’re forced to by crisis or conflict. But we can choose a better way. We can choose to walk with God as active participants in our own recovery, learning from our experiences and allowing Him to redeem our pain.

Fear, denial, and distorted views about God often twist the truth and make it hard to see clearly. Yet on this journey, I’ve found that my story—however broken—becomes a sacred place to meet God. It’s where I can explore who He really is and who He created me to be. I don’t need to judge my story; it simply is what it is, and that, too, is a gift. It has guided me to this very moment of grace.

My prayer is that you’ll be encouraged and expectant as you discover God’s grace and truth in your own story.

He truly is a good and loving God. -Julie
